The Use of Flashcards to Increase Vocabulary Skill in English Subject at Elementary School

This study aims to determine the effect of using flashcard media on improving vocabulary in English subjects in class IV SDN Sumber Jeruk 2 where students have difficulty in learning and understanding vocabulary in English lessons. In this study, researchers used a Pre Experimental Design in the form of a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. This study was conducted by a researcher who also acted as a teacher at SDN Sumber Jeruk 2 Bondowoso district. The population in this study were 17 fourth grade students. The results showed that the use of flashcards can significantly improve student learning outcomes, increase student engagement, and create a more enjoyable learning atmosphere. In addition, the use of flashcards also helps improve students' comprehension and speaking skills in English. Therefore, the application of flashcards can be considered effective in increasing the effectiveness of English learning.
