The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals, are a set of 17 interconnected objectives established by the United Nations in 2015. They aim to address a wide range of global challenges and promote sustainable development worldwide by the year 2030. These goals cover a diverse range of issues, including poverty, inequality, climate change, environmental degradation, and peace. Each goal has specific targets and indicators to measure progress towards achieving them. The SDGs provide a comprehensive framework for governments, organizations, and individuals to work together to create a more equitable, prosperous, and sustainable world.
